Oh hi!
At the heart of everything we do is the desire to put the art making first. We believe in taking creative risks and approaching each project with fresh eyes. By creating unique entry points into the work, the hope is that our performances or experiences or film or music or dance, spark your curiosity and inspire you to discover something new each time.
We are a nonprofit organization creating meaningful artistic experiences based in Boise, Idaho. We’ve found tremendous traction with audiences in Boise and beyond in our eight years of existence. We don’t utilize the traditionally season-based approach of most performing arts organizations. Instead, we prefer to approach productions on a project-by-project basis. This allows us to focus our creative energy on what is most artistically exciting at each moment. Every facet of our productions is created from scratch by us and a team of talented dancers, musicians, designers, and technicians are brought on board as needed for each creative undertaking.
We’ve done some things…
In the eight years since our founding, we’ve created six evening-length works, four one-act dance pieces, two full-length albums, two EPs, multiple standalone short films, a feature-length film, an immersive performance experience, and one experiential dinner.
We’ve performed to capacity crowds in Boise, Sun Valley, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, and the Winspear Opera House in Dallas. Our short films have screened at festivals all over the country including: San Francisco Dance Film Festival, Dance Camera West, and FASS Forward. Our debut feature film premiered to a sold-out audience at Boise’s historic Egyptian Theatre.
We’ve got some bragging rights…
We were named by Dance Magazine as one of 2020’s “25 to Watch,” a pretty sweet honor given to dancers, choreographers, and companies who are believed to be break-out stars of the coming year. Our previous work has been described by the Seattle Times as a “dazzling feat of pyrotechnics” and we were awarded the Mayor's Award for Artistic Excellence for an Emerging Organization by Boise Mayor Dave Bieter.
We found our home…
In June 2023, we moved into a new space that will be the forever home of the company. We envision this space to be as creative as the creatives within it and we’re in the process of making it just that. A space to experience performances, workshops, classes, concerts, film screenings, and pretty much anything you can dream up.
What’s next?
So much more.
We love you!
